it has been snowing all day. it is not a huge amount of snow - around 4 inches - but enough that i thought we should clear a path for madelyn to get home from the bus. i ended up having to run with the shovel because the bus was early and the snow plow had already been by and piled snow at the corner where the bus drops off.
since we were already bundled and outside, i decided that we should clear the driveway for daddy to come home. we have a snow thrower/blower, but i have never used it and wasn't feeling brave enough to try. the boys helped me for a bit with the shoveling and then i told them that they could go sled.

once madelyn saw that we (me too) were sledding, she put on her gear and joined us. manning took an extra long nap and we were able to sled until it started to get dark. so fun! love.
