the birthday bed

it has been a long time coming but madelyn has her new "couch bed" in her room! this is all she wanted for her birthday - in june - and daddy (and i) moved it in today. madelyn got right to decorating! we still need to pick up her mattress and are waiting for her new bedding to arrive so more pictures to follow. love.

bunkbeds

i had a business meeting today and the boys were playing quietly in their room. as i got off the phone, maddux came in with a big grin to have me come and see their room. which made me just slightly nervous... i immediately saw that they had cleaned their room and made their beds. and then i saw manning...

the boys had made their own sort of bunkbed! and were very proud of themselves. mason wanted to know if they could keep it like this "forever." i told him that manning might fall while sleeping and mason told me that he couldn't because they had put "stuff" under it to keep it up. they had thought of everything.

bunk beds are in the works for their room, but i guess they got tired of waiting. love.

changes all around

last week i decided that we could take the changing table out of the boys' room and free up some floor space. there was nothing in it and manning had refused to lay on it for changes for well over a month. and tonight we got rid of the crib! we took the side off a long time ago but manning has recently refused to sleep in it and has been sleeping in mason's bed. which means that mason has been sleeping in the toddler bed! our giant five year old is sleeping in a crib! (he did it to keep the peace which is one of the many reasons why we love mason so.)

so the new sleeping arrangement is for manning to sleep on the toddler mattress on the floor between mason and maddux' beds. (there are plans for a triple bunk bed in the future but we still need to do madelyn's room first.) the boys could not be happier about the extra space and manning is thrilled with his new situation next to his brothers!

the only 'baby' items remaining are the diaper pail and training toilets! we are SO happy about that too! love.
