i have learned that i shouldn't use the kids as an excuse. this week we woke up at 8 and i wanted to be at the gym by 9:10 for a swim class. i wasn't feeling great (major headache) and everyone was in their pajamas and still needed to eat breakfast at 8:20. it would have been a lot easier, but i decided to go for it and we got out the door, kids checked in and i was walking on to the pool deck five minutes before class started. it was worth it! there have been so many times where i have almost let the kids' attitude or sheer number discourage me from my plans. but 99.9% of the time i am so glad that i just powered through to make it happen (let's face it, nothing with kids works out every single time). so today's 'tip' is meant as encouragement!
are you a plow through or go with the flow kind of parent? (and i don't think any less of any one who is a go with the flow parent because i often wish i could be that flexible all of the time.)
love.
