madelyn was pretty excited about finally getting to perform on stage after all of the practices (that and they were going to spray their hair with glitter spray). the boys had been practicing "hosanna" for several sundays too and were excited to try out the real palms when we got there. (we were bringing the 2s and 3s in, but the entire children's ministry was coming in to line the aisles for the song.)
our children's director was texting me pictures of madelyn rehearsing since we couldn't be in there with our other responsibilities.
what i had not counted on was that i would be front and center when we brought the 2s and 3s into the sanctuary. i couldn't resist taking my phone out for a quick picture of madelyn right in front of me.
our director snapped this one of me and maddux singing "hosanna". |
here are some videos from when matt and i attended second service. i think the kids (at least madelyn) were pretty tired by this point. between the two songs it was too long to record the whole thing (plus it felt odd to be recording instead of worshiping). enjoy!
it was an awesome service to celebrate the King! love.

Love how the kids are involved with the service. Lorelai came through with the elementary crowd waving palms (real ones :), during service, too. We visited a different church yesterday. The one that holds MOPS.
my dad commented about them being "northern palms", but they are indeed real palms. they just aren't of the florida variety. :)
Thank you for filming everything. It makes us feel like we are there. Looks like a great celebration!
