more birthday celebration

madelyn's birthday celebration continued today. she didn't want to go to school and leave her new toys, but then she remembered that she was bringing cupcakes for her 'friends'. we had made strawberry cupcakes with vanilla frosting and bear or dinosaur sprinkles. i don't think madelyn had ever had strawberry cake before but she picked it and was very enthusiastic about making it. she never eats the cake anyway so what difference did it make? but she told me, excitedly, that she actually ate the cake too! (gavin only ate the frosting.)

after school she had another package arrive. this time from papa and nana. papa and nana gave madelyn and mason a lot of presents while we were in kansas (which have been loved and played with often) but still had one more for each of the kids. madelyn got a table set with giraffes on it and wanted to open it for pretend food right away.

so i tried to get video of mason 'walking' to madelyn. i was a little nervous to hold the camera while this was going on so i set it on the playroom table. the video isn't great but you can get the idea. it is so funny because mason is laughing so hard that he almost can't 'walk'. at least it gives you a taste for what they are doing. love.
