occ box day at church

today was the collection day for operation christmas child at church.  like the good mom that i am, i almost forgot to take a picture of the kids with their boxes.  we were already late so this one blurry attempt before we rushed to get the kids to their classes was all i got.  we were asked to be early because the kids were going to carry all of the boxes into the sanctuary during service, but we (of course) were late.  we would have been on time but i let manning fall in our bathroom and bloody his lip which put us a little behind schedule.  it doesn't help that the kids are currently in four different hallways on two different floors because of the way the ages are broken up.  anyway, at least i got one quick picture.

manning wasn't holding his box, but he insisted that i take his picture too.

i did remember to take a picture of mason's drawing before sealing up his box last night.  i helped him with the numbers but i was sitting on the other side of the table and might have led him in the wrong direction...

we paid for the shipping online this year and should be able to find out where our boxes end up which will be really exciting and create an excellent opportunity for discussion with the kiddos.  so glad that we could help brighten someone's christmas!  love.
