our tradition has become that as soon as they are able, the kids help with unwrapping the hershey kisses for the peanut butter blossom cookies. i had mason and maddux busy at the table but manning didn't like that the formality - or leaving them for the cookies! he dumped a bunch from the bag on the counter, opened them on the floor and popped them right into his mouth. i let all three boys have a few - even though it was morning - because i want them to remember christmas cookies as a super fun tradition. (and, let's face it, yesterday was not a great day for us.) love.
