odds and ends

these are just some of the small things i forget to post...

- i love it when the kids use each other's middle names.  i will often hear maddux yell, "mason lynn"! when he is angry with mason, but all three bigs use middle names when they are really mad.

- manning can reach light switches freely now.  this has not been a happy development for his siblings.

- manning's vocabulary is growing quickly - and he knows it.  i love that point when they realize that they can say words if they just try.  his favorites right now are "no" and "ouch".  the "ouch" one is really fun because he yells it with great pain when we wipe his face or buckle him into his carseat.  i am sure we are getting some looks from those within earshot.

- the kids all cover their ears when we run the blender.  it has even become a sort of game (covering and uncovering their ears).  manning has gotten to where he covers his ears when he hears daddy putting together the ingredients of his smoothie into the cup. (he selected this tray plate for his cereal this morning so that he could divide up his selections.)

i know that i am missing lots, but this is better than nothing.  love.
