out with grandma

we went shopping with manning while all of the bigs were in school this morning, went to chick-fil-a for lunch (where grandma let me 'relax' while taking the kids in the play place but didn't know that if maddux 'helped' manning up, he couldn't get back down - i had to climb up and get him) and then hung out at home while we waited for madelyn to get home from school.

matt and i were going to go out to dinner again (we were too tired to go to a movie too) so we went to pick up pizza for the kids and grandma after a stop by the lego store (grandma insists about sitting in the back with the kids - doesn't she look cozy?). grandma wanted to get each kid a new lego set. mason had a very, very difficult time deciding. he really wanted a lego movie set but didn't like the ones available. we were able to find a super hero set that matched a library book we currently have at home and he was delighted.

the kids and grandma had a fun night of legos and pizza and matt and i were able to have another night out alone. such a blessing! love.
