you may remember that we had the stomach bug eight times last year - eight. this one didn't make us feel as bad as the strain last year but it has had a longer recovery period. i was so weak from exhaustion and dehydration on monday morning that matt had to stay home to put madelyn on the bus. i literally could not stand upright with out getting dizzy and collapsing. i was SO grateful that matt was able to move things around to help me out. thankfully, mason was in much better shape that i was.
tuesday night it was maddux' turn. that poor kid. let's just say that he got sick while going to the bathroom and walked to our room - on the other side of the house - leaving a trail. he was so sweet and apologetic. he said that he "just wanted to tell you guys". poor sweet boy had a fairly rough night.
madelyn was complaining about her stomach shortly after waking up on wedensday morning. the weather was forecast to be dangerous for driving so i just kept her home because i didn't want to have to take everyone out to pick her up. it ended up being a great call because while madelyn frequently complains about stomach pains as a way of getting out of things, she got sick within a hour of me calling her off from school. the weather never really came to anything, but i was very relieved to have her home instead of at school when she got sick.
somehow matt managed to miss out on this round.
our washing machine has been running non-stop since sunday night and matt has wet-vacced the carpets twice. at least we will be in the clear when grandma arrives for a visit this weekend. love.

Oh no! So sorry! I didn't know, but of course couldn't do much but pray for you and you all are always in our prayers. Hope there won't be more. Matt sounded really exhausted when he called to Skype last night. Hope you can have a restful week??
