mommy has a name
we ran up to sam's tonight and madelyn dropped her elmo toy somewhere. matt and i split up looking for it and matt was calling out my name from time to time. of course madelyn had to join in and was calling out, "michelle, where are you? michelle!". i asked matt if she was saying what i thought she was and he was happy to report, "yes." (you might remember that matt hated it when she called him, "matt".) love.

We actually taught Lorelai our 'real' names in case of an emergency. I agree, though, that I don't like to hear her say my name. She only says it when she's demonstrating her knowledge, so its not like she's walking around calling me 'Kellie' instead of 'Mom/my' :)
That's so funny! It always cracks me up when James asks, "Hey- where's Jim?" like it's not his daddy!
It's funny, I really don't remember any of you calling me by my name. The other kids called me PIGGY. I don't even remember any of you calling your Dad's name either.
