mcdonalds playplace

i needed to have a meeting with the director of the children's ministry (sort of an annual review conversation before the start of the new school year about needs and improvements) and she suggested mcdonalds. i knew that the kids would be trilled to have lunch with "mrs. wendy" (they often ask to do this) and at mcdonalds puts it over the top. we were also pleased to learn that this mcdonalds had a wonderful, indoor playplace. it is a good thing too because we were there for about 2 hours!

when we got home, the boys made 'ramps' for their new hot wheels race cars that were the toys from their happy meals. i was pretty impressed. it reminded me of the mazes my brothers and i made with book for our hamsters. i kept that part to myself though because i don't want to put any pet ideas into their heads!

maddux took the launchers from his and mason's cars and put them through his super hero mask to make 'bug eyes.'

and today maddux was the one dressing up - jake with a mcqueen hat.
these kids are just loving all the special things this week! love.
