i am starting to freak out a little about getting everything mailed in time for christmas so i planned to run several errands today with all three boys. my plan? 7 stops in 3 hours. crazy? yes. what is worse is that the forecast was for a 25 degree high temperature and snow.
great news! the boys did awesome! we ended up with only 6 stops in 3 hours because i was able to pick up clothes pins at target instead of stopping by the dollar store (mops craft prep). the snow was light and we managed to get very close parking spots at almost every stop. i did have to stop for lunch because we got a little bit later of a start than i had planned. we are rarely over by chick-fil-a around lunch time and i also had a free sandwich voucher, so chick-fil-a it was! we were on the early side so the boys had the play place all to themselves. since we were alone, i agreed to let maddux help manning climb up to come down the slide (manning was indicating that he really, really wanted to come down the slide).
and then he wouldn't come down. sigh. i had to climb up the slide (there is NO WAY i was going to fit up the regular way) and pull him down by a leg once the boys cornered him near the mouth of the slide. manning did not enjoy this part at all. he did not want to leave and tried to climb back up the slide after i got his shoes back on.
but we made it and i didn't break into a sweat from hauling kids at any point. a total success in my book. love.
