our first pleygo

one or two years ago i heard about a service called "pleygo" - think netflix, but with legos.  our kids were just starting to have an interest in legos so we weren't quite ready to sign up.  we thought that it might be good for christmas this year and when we saw a groupon with $10 for two months we thought that we would give it a try.  matt and i picked sets that the kids have asked for in stores for our "wish list" and waited for our first set to arrive.  today it came (i think it was about a week after creating our account)!

i am not sure that the boys totally understood the concept about legos they could use and return.  once i explained that it worked sort of like the library they had a better idea.  maddux wanted to build this one all on his own and mason (to my delight) was more than willing.  he had a great time building his own creations with the blocks waiting to be used and gave them up, without complaint, when maddux needed them.  maddux didn't want me to take his picture so i told him that i was taking pictures of the blocks.

he asked me to take a picture of his "hands".

i was just so impressed at how well he could build the set!  i think he did 95% by himself.  i just helped press everything together every so often to make sure it was tight enough.  i was really proud of him and he was pretty proud of himself.

the two hours of playtime was totally worth the cost!  i think we might be big fans of pleygo.com!  love.
