madelyn and i only spent about an hour with the boys today. i took her to swim lessons, shopping for a birthday gift, to the party at skymax (a trampoline park) and then to meet up with friends for a girls' night out.
we have never been to this trampoline park, mainly because i was worried about injury. but i was pleasantly surprised. there were a lot of kids but it was orderly and surprisingly quiet for so many people. her friends were relatively calm and most of them were a little intimidated by the jump (seen in this video). most of her friends just ran across instead of bouncing and jumping. the first girl who went didn't quite clear the gap between the platform and the cushion, but she was okay.
after working up an appetite they went to the party room for some goodies. instead of birthday cake they had mini-donuts from a local donut bakery. it was a great idea and the kids loved it! they jokingly asked the kids if they wanted donuts or vegetables. madelyn responded with everyone, "donuts!" but continued to add, "and then vegetables!"
now it was time for us to head to madelyn's surprise girls' night! love.

Wow, that's a place to have a jumping good time! Ha I'm sure Madelyn had a wonderful time.
