maddux is very interested in the vacuum cleaner (i.e. he keeps pulling it out of the closet when i don't want him to), so i decided that i would just let him vacuum the kitchen. it also seemed appropriate since his habits are the primary reason that we needed to vacuum.
once i showed him how to suck up cheerios under the cabinets he got to work. he didn't get everything but he tried really hard and i appreciated the effort. love.
