cookies and milkstaches

four lego sets at once were more than grandma could handle last night so matt sat down to help after breakfast this morning.  we didn't have very long because i signed the bigs up for a "cookies and milkstaches" event at the library. we are in the sweet spot right now for these 2-6 year-old events. daddy stayed home to get some work done while grandma and i took all four kids. the kids just love these library events - books, songs, crafts and snacks.

funny enough, we ran into one of the ladies from my water aerobics class (she was there with her granddaughter) and she offered to take a picture of all of us. she had asked which kids were mine and i said "all of them". my mom thought that this was really funny. we were working on a lorax mustache, hand tracing craft.

we also made door hangers that said "i [mustache] you to be quiet" (picture instead of the word "mustache"). there were several other games and books to read but we ran out of time. there was chocolate chip cookies and chocolate milk for the kids too. there were some dress-up clothes and mustaches for pictures that we squeezed in on our way out. you can see how excited madelyn was about the prospect.

when we got back home we took a walk on the trail to go and get lunch. not everyone was excited about the walk because it was a little cold and windy but it turned out to be a great time.

then back home for some more lego fun. love.
