doggie day at the library

we go to the library a lot - at least every other week but we have been going almost every week over the summer. but we usually go while we are out running other errands so time is a little limited. today i took the kids and told them that we could stay until they wanted to leave for lunch. they were pretty excited. and then they were even more excited when we got there! i had known that the library was part of a dog adoption focused week, but had forgotten that it was this week. there were three dog-themed crafts, a fire hydrant ring toss and several dog houses to play with while we were there.

maddux found a book in the dress-up clothes and got right to it.

manning likes to play with the doll houses best

maddux set up a dinosaur land and let mason play with him

loaded up with books and ready to go!
when i suggested that it was time to get going, madelyn reminded me that i had said that they could stay as long as they would like. i had forgotten. we stayed until they were hungry for some lunch. and then the boys wanted some more pictures with the dog house before we left.
it is the simple things. love.

We love libraries! I think Manning looks more and more like Big Pop each time I see him.
