school doesn't start for two more weeks, but we got to go and visit the boys' classrooms tonight. i was looking forward to it more than usual because i don't know mason's pre-k teacher at all. both boys became quite shy when meeting their teachers. maddux' teacher has the most students (she does am and pm classes) so we decided to come back once the crowd died down.
mason did a tour around the room scavenger hunt while manning occupied himself with the sand table. part of the tour was decorating a bear with his name for the bulletin board.
his teacher is the blonde in the picture below and seems very nice. she even knew mason by name when we walked in. i had forgotten that the assistant teacher is the mother of one of the girls mason has been in class with the past two years. he didn't want to take his picture with them until i suggested that it might be nice to have a picture to remember them by for the first day of school. he thought that was an excellent idea and happily joined them for a picture.
maddux is going to be in the 4-year-old class (they skipped him over the 3-year-old class). since madelyn and mason have both been in this class, they were happy to show maddux around the room and he was excited to get to be in this room too! he is even more excited about getting to bring show and tell this year.
