maddux gets a 'real' party this year since he is turning FIVE. in fact, it is his first birthday party ever. he might explode. tomorrow night we will have a hot wheels themed party at pump it up. it is so easy that i worry that i might be forgetting something.
this afternoon we made up our hot wheels party favors - bows for the girls (aka purple cars) and bags for some siblings who will be joining us due to parents' schedules. the more the merrier.
not to be forgotten, matt surprised me with some roses to match my wedding bouquet. it will be our anniversary too after all.
"excited" doesn't seem to actually capture what maddux feels about his birthday but it is the word he is using. as we were putting him to bed, he told us that this was our "last ever chance to say good night to a four year old maddux." sweet dreams, sweet boy. love.

An anniversary bouquet to match your wedding bouquet?!? Love that idea!! I can't believe he's five already! I bet he relished every minute for when the June birthday parade rolls around.
