"i'm five!"

maddux came out of his room with a giant smile and declared, "good morning, everyone! i'm five!" i wish i had a video of his joyous declaration this morning.  he had planned every detail to include every dap of "special" he could squeeze out of the day. he began with chocolate chip, banana, peanut butter, sprinkle pancakes on our "sweet day" plate.

since he has a pretty full day, we went ahead and let him open his presents from us this morning before school.

and with that, his day was already off to a great start! now for some birthday festivities at school... love.
