sunday in indiana

we joined great grandma for church sunday morning. she usually attended church on the premises, but we picked her up to go to a local church because it would be easier to have children's rooms for the kids - particularly mason who is becoming quite the wiggle worm now that he is walking more and more.
mason has been insisting more and more on his morning nap again and after playing at church he fell asleep as soon as we got in the car and stayed asleep as matt got him out and carried him in for lunch - very unusual for our light sleeper. madelyn enjoyed getting a ride on great grandma's walker during our tour.
the nice thing about meals at a retirement community is that they are all a la carte and very kid friendly. the lunch special offered red, white, and blue jello for madelyn. mason and madelyn both had cream cheese and jelly on fresh banana bread sandwich for lunch. matt and i both snagged bites after it arrived but the kids ate almost all of their sandwiches. it was messy but they really enjoyed it.
after lunch we took a tour around the property which has a large bird display, a fish tank, a miniature watch display, and flower gardens that were some of madelyn's favorite sights along the tour.

unfortunately, we had to leave great grandma and get the kids (and us) back to dennis and joy's for naps in preparation of our late night of fireworks. here is a slide show of pictures from our morning visit. love.

What a nice visit with Great Grandma - is this Matt's Grandma? I love the picture in the slide show where she's pointing to something and Madelyn is looking intently. Very cute.

I'm sure G Grandma had a wonderful visit with you. Madelyn looks like she really enjoyed being with her. Mason and Matt look a little tired!HA
Very cute!
