safety day at home depot

we haven't gone to a home depot workshop in a while.  i think that it has been a combination of things - having other plans, not being interested in the project, etc. but i was planning to potty train mason so it was something for matt to do with the other two.  instead of waiting, i started mason on friday - again.  he had a great day and was super excited about going on the potty.  so this ended up being our first outing with him in underwear!  we had some false alarms, but he stayed dry.  and built a rescue helicopter.

home depot had quite a spread with cookies, muffins, popcorn, hot cider and coffee.  there was a table set up with a police officer giving away school supply type items (pencils, erasers, stickers, etc.) and a fire truck outside. the kids were pretty excited - especially mason.  love.
