mops october craft

this month we made alcohol ink coasters.  for our meeting we watched a movie from mops international about mothering comparisons that made about have the room cry and then even more cried during the table discussions (something new that we are doing this year).  i chose this craft because they can't be 'perfect' and no two are or can be the same.  one of the ladies even cried at the message found in the craft.  (it was an emotional night for a lot of the ladies.)

for those who are crafty (or even those who are not), alcohol inks are very forgiving (you can wipe them off and start over with the alcohol solution), dry quickly and are non-toxic.  several of the moms are thinking christmas gifts.  if you have any interest, here is the site where i learned how to use them.  i used a rustoleum triple layer glaze spray to seal them once dried.

love.

Sounds like it is a good "release" for the moms, so important! Cute idea for the craft that went right with the topic! Nana
