boys days - part 1

the boys don't have school today or tomorrow so i made some chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast.  poor madelyn didn't get any because we slept until 7:45am!  that is crazy late for us.  not that we got a lot of sleep because the kids didn't go to bed until 9pm because of church and maddux was up at 2am and manning was up at 6am when i got up to make matt's lunch.

anyway, the boys and i had a nice leisurely breakfast after getting madelyn off to the bus.  manning really loved the pancakes!  he made such and mess that maddux felt the need to point it out to me with concern which i thought was pretty funny.  maddux is not one for extreme neatness at all!

once we were done and dressed we took a quick trip to the dollar store for a few things.  we found these little tissue paper crafts and thought it would be a great project for the next two days.  it ended up being a little too advanced for maddux but both boys got the hang of it and spent a long time working on it before taking a break until tomorrow.
