summer activities

madelyn heard that the story was frozen today and put together her 'elsa' outfit for the occasion.

we had to send a picture to daddy.

but mason said that his hero was his best buddy, carter, who joined us for camp.

the girls made an ice crown.

we stopped by the grocery store on the way home. the big kids were excited to get to go into the child care but manning isn't old enough yet. instead he gets a cookie from the bakery for shopping with mommy. not only that, but this balloon loving boy found a life-sized version of one of his favorites! the others were pretty sad to have missed out.

remember how i said that they were racing to finish the summer reading program? madelyn and mason finished it by monday. maddux only has one more hour before he is finished and poor manning only completed one hour - he is at the mercy of someone reading to him. so we swung by the library to pick up some prizes. they get one small prize for each hour read, a super hero puzzle for reading all six hours and an entry into a drawing for the prize of their choice for completing the sheet. madelyn and mason received a second reading sheet for checking out and using various types of library materials.

the summer reading program has a super hero theme too.

in july our summer will slow down, but we are in a sprint this most of this month. love.
