and so "birthday week" begins. we kicked things off a little early with the "birthday celebration" for the month at our grocery store. they mail each birthday kid a coupon for a bakery treat and let them select a gift from the child watch at the store. the birthday kids all picked this turtle decorated frosting sandwich cookie.

this is a long week for maddux. last year he only cried once; on the very last day. he gets through it by planning his own birthday celebration all week. love.
