madelyn says so many funny things but I tend to just take them for granted and don't always get them down on paper. she was funny on the way home today that i had to share two of her comments:
- out of no where she shouts, "i see God!!! mom, i can see God from here! he is following us." and then in a quieter voice to God, "are you following us? okay." then, "mom, God is following us. i can really see him." you can't argue with that. we talked about how God is with us always for a little while after that.
- last week she told me, "mom, i love ariel all the way and you love God all the way." we then talked about how you have enough love for everyone and her list got much longer (and included God). this has been a frequent topic of conversation ever since.
- i have been using police to explain why things that are laws are not negotiable (i.e. riding in a buckled car seat, bringing two blankets to school in her backpack, etc.). today madelyn was explaining to me that police do not like it when cars try to drive in ponds because they can't float. again, not sure where this idea came from during our drive home from school but i found it amusing.

I love the thoughts of children. You just wonder what goes on in their little heads as they try to figure out things. Very cute.
The best is her side conversation with God. :)
