one last stop before home

somehow this was the wedding party tour.  it must be our 10 year anniversary coming up in november because we saw 5 out of 8 from the party.  last stop, literally a 'stop', was greg and his family. unfortunately, we couldn't stay long because we were on our longest drive - from orlando to home.  and we were lucky too because they were flying out the next day for their own vacation.

greg and sarah live in a beautiful beach resort island.  it was nice to meet them for some breakfast/brunch and then take a walk down to a local park while we visited.  i am thankful that we were able to see them.
sarah, jameson and greg
because it was a beach community, the restaurant was very laid back and no one minded our kids' wandering about and playing. in fact, the waitress gave them all balloons left over the night before!  then they got a little too crazy and that was when we decided to head down to the park.
mason really liked his balloon and for some reason thought that it was really funny to put it on his head and tell us about it.
i think we are going to like being able to road trip it to florida and make different stops along the way. and matt only got stopped once.  15 minutes from home.  at 2am.  going 12 over the limit.  and he didn't get a ticket!  if i had been driving i would have gotten a ticket.  we think it helped that maddux chose that moment to wake up and start wailing.  plus, the officer asked about where we had been and for how long.  i think he just had pity on matt because we were so close to home after a very long drive.

it was a great get away for all of us.  love.

It is nice you can make all those stops along the way. Breaks up the trip a bit. I can't believe he was pulled over that close to the end!! Yay for sympathetic policemen.

i still can't believe that he didn't get a ticket! the stops worked out so great! i wish that we could have visited longer, but stopping even for a few hours really was nice.
