after friday's concert madelyn said that she was so exhausted from ringing her bell and singing that she couldn't go on sunday too. but after resting on saturday, she felt up to it. whew.
i couldn't pick which picture was the "best", so here are the ones i took. and the only ones i took. there were none at the concert and it was SO much more enjoyable. i actually noticed the bell ringing and gestures. way, way better. so there will be dramatically fewer pictures during events. i only get to be their mom once. love.

What a beautiful dress! I agree, you have to stop and watch it happening every now and then, and skip the camera. Actually, I realized that last year at Lorelai's ballet recital, and since then have tried a lot harder to take less 'in the moment' shots, and more 'poses' (if any) before or after.
I'm glad to hear she was rested enough to perform. They couldn't have done the show without the bell ringing!
