hanging at home

this past week was extremely busy for me with work so we didn't do too much.  but the kids are always busy!  here are a few pictures of them at play...

all three kids took a snuggle with the pillow pet maddux got for his birthday.  everyone has their own, but maddux is the first one to really use and play with his so now the bigger kids are taking an interest too.  (notice that madelyn has a nativity set in the bag she is holding - she is rarely without at least one piece of a set this time of year.)

maddux has been getting into a 'monkey see, monkey do' phase and decided that he could sit at the table too.  he got up there all on his own!  i think madelyn might have given him his water before calling me to take a look.  he doesn't sit on the bench to eat - yet - because it makes us a little too nervous.

madelyn was a messy eater, mason was/is very neat but went through a phase where he rubbed everything in his hair and maddux is following suit with his hair and his face!  this week he decided that every meal would be a great mask and hair conditioner.  on this morning it was oatmeal.  i can barely wipe him off any more.  i just strip him down in the chair and rinse him in the sink after each meal!  i think that he is already moving out of this phase, but it sure has been a messy week!

and maddux wishes he was just a few inches taller so that he could get his own water.  every time he has an empty cup, he heads to the refrigerator for a refill.
