zoo lunch

we went home after the concert and i let the kids watch a movie in the car while i ran in and threw together a lunch.  i was really, really, really tempted to just pick up lunch on the way or buy it at the zoo.  but we were at the very end of the month and did not want to go over budget.  i was glad i made the effort once we actually got to the zoo because i know that everyone gets a good lunch and enough to eat.

we had the whole place to ourselves.  i felt bad because they had to pop some popcorn so that we could use our free popcorn coupon that i just discovered; it expires at the end of the year.

i thought it was funny to see them all bundled up watching the penguins.

 the kids were not cold but i was freezing.  madelyn wouldn't even close up her coat!

they had a really pretty christmas display set up but the lighting just wasn't great for pictures.

 i had thought that maddux would want to walk around a little with his sister and brother, but, no, he did not.

 he was much happier snuggled up in the stroller!  love.
