madelyn's school does "half birthdays" for all of the summer birthdays. madelyn's day was the last day of school before Christmas break. she chose funfetti cupcakes with strawberry icing. i had picked up some papers with red flowers for her too. thankfully, this time i was able to find strawberry icing and didn't have to make my own again. i have been baking up a storm for other Christmas treats.madelyn wore her Christmas best to school and they gave her a crown and a cake sign, but she would not let me take her picture. instead she posed for this one several days later (and, yes, her mouth is full of food but i take what i can get). love.

That's nice that they celebrate for those kids with summer bdays. Can't believe there is going to be another June MLG!
