the boys and i decided to do a "craft" while manning was taking a little bit of a nap. a quick google search brought up a good candidate - "tie-dyed eggs". it was a great craft because it required no special (aka messy and/or expensive) supplies. all we needed were paper towels (cut into egg shapes), markers and a spray bottle with water.
the boys really loved it. they loved it so much that madelyn wanted to give it a try when she got home too. unfortunately, manning wanted to use them as napkins before they were dry. we flattened them back out and hung them up when they were dry.
this was fun and simple. we will do this again! love.
