we came home to have some lunch and then the boys decided to finish up in the sunshine on the back deck. they had books and puzzles and the rest of the bowl of cut apples on their 'picnic' blanket. the bigs were literally laying on the deck soaking up the sun. it has been a really long time.

i did my best to remove as many as possible before cleaning him up with some peroxide followed by some neosporin and band-aids. hopefully, that will do the trick.

her school was having a fundraiser at a local restaurant so the plan was to pick up dinner for our family and meet matt at church. this restaurant does not have a drive-through and the idea of 'running in' with the four of them at dinner time could have gone either way. i am happy to report that they were excellent and the service was super fast (way faster than past visits). it could not have been any easier or less stressful. and then it was off for a full evening at church.
manning was asleep before we got on the interstate afterwards and he slept straight through until morning. he was a tired boy after all that sunshine and fresh air on such a long day. i really can't say how thankful i am for springtime! love.

Oh my goodness - that's a lot of splinters - good for him 'letting' you take them out. That would have been a major battle here. Lots of fussing about them, but not wanting me to remove them.
So cute to see them out on the deck. I guess we are all excited for spring! Nana
