today we showed daddy the cool kite maddux got during our recent birthday gift card shopping trip to toys-r-us. i had taken it out to fly with them that day but there had been almost no wind since! today was perfect though. of course daddy wanted to really let out the line and see how high we could get it (after this picture) and we spent a lot of time after that freeing it from trees and bushes. the kids love it - $2 very well spent. love.

I had a kite here for the kids. Seems like we didn't have our usual wind while you were here, or we were just too busy doing other things. Nana
