preschool christmas program - part 2

tonight was the real deal performance with the full church choir performing before the preschoolers. the boys were both well rested and beyond excited to have madelyn and daddy in the audience too. maddux wore this vest that was daddy's and then uncle derek's when they were little boys. he was pretty stoked. mason was going to wear the matching jacket but changed his mind when it came time to actually put it on. but no big deal. he was pretty excited about his tie too.
a decent group shot before we headed out the door

madelyn drew this super cute nativity scene while we waited for the program to start on a 2/3 inch paper scrap. i thought it was pretty good for being so small.

mason was right on point with his movements tonight. there was much discussion about the girl next to him dressed as elsa. i think there were a lot of girls who would be telling their parents, "see? i could have worn my elsa costume!"

so happy to see daddy on the way out
and, of course, there were more cookies and punch after the performance!

we were so delighted to have a favorite face in the crowd! this is mason's favorite preschool teacher from two years ago - miss r. she is the one who babysat for us and recently moved to cleveland to minister with cru. such a treat to see her!
so proud of these two and the great job they did. this is totally a highlight of their year. love.

Love the foursome in front of the tree. Really- an Elsa costume? I'm all about to each his own, but surely she had something else to wear.
