we had been telling papa about how well mason was doing with math. when he stopped for eggs on our way home he quizzed the kids, "if this carton cost $3, how much was each egg?"
all of the kids worked it out that each egg was a quarter. but then mason said that he had a different answer, "the first three eggs were $1 each and the other nine were free."
