so here is the update on our housing plans. the builders association voted at the end of last week and agreed to have the parade of homes in the neighborhood we are planning to build in. so now the rest of the builders need to put down their deposits and it will be a done deal. i think we will get the definite answer at the end of this week (the deadline for turning in their lot deposits).
in the mean time matt and i have been trying to figure out finishes and colors because things are going to have to move quickly for an august parade. also we are waiting to get final pricing on the plans we approved over the weekend. i think we are going to hear from them today or tomorrow. i am just praying that everything we have specified works within our budget so that we don't have to make a lot of changes.
the house will be complete in july or august for the parade, but we are not planning on moving in until november. the builder will rent it from us as a model and we won't have to break our lease on the apartment - kind of a win-win.
i am considering signing madelyn up for soccer at the ymca near the neighborhood this summer so that we can start to meet people in the area since we are going to be moving in the winter again. i just need to find out how many practices and games there are since it is about a half hour from where we are living currently. i think it would be worth it to get to know some other families, find out about preschools, places to go, etc. plus, we will most likely be out there every week during the building process anyway. we are going to keep her at the same school for the fall semester, but will need to get her (and mason) enrolled somewhere near the house for the spring. i have already found a few preschools, but i would love to talk to someone who actually lives there and/or sends a child to the school.
i am still waiting to get too excited until we sign on a contract with a price we like. but it is kind of exciting. love.

Great news on the house! Hope it all works out and you get lots of perks! Soccer will be awesome for Maddie! Such a great way to burn energy and have fun! And I'm kind of partial to soccer...hehe.
Sounds like everything will work out perfectly. We'll pray that you get a decision that 'lets' you get excited this weekend :) Great idea to sign up for a kid-activity near the new house so you can meet people and learn the lay of the land.
I know that you can't wait to get out of that apartment and have furniture and a real space to relax. We are praying that everything works out the way God wants it and I'm sure His way is the best way for you. Maddie will enjoy soccer. Hopefully it's just for fun and the parents control themselves! HA
