deal thursday

another thursday, another early trip to the grocery store to get some deals.  this one might have been my favorite yet - $0.10 and $0.20 cascadian farms organic frozen vegetables! i bought ten (i could only get 8 coupons).  we got another few items, ran home to drop off the cold stuff and headed over to the park!  my morning meeting had been cancelled and it was going to be a beautiful day - plus, we had gotten a pretty early start. :)  i also got them donuts at the grocery store as a 'thank you' for being so quick to get ready.  (i know donuts don't really go with needing to buy organic vegetables.)

mason loves the swing.  maybe more than madelyn did at his age - and she loved them a lot.

i was going to stop at earth fare on our way home from the park, but then i remembered that they have a 'family dinner' night on thrusdays.  we tried to go once before but several shopping centers lost power during a storm and it was closed.  anyway, i remembered so i decided we would go for dinner when we went to do our shopping.  it was pretty nice.  you get two kids' meals with an adult meal.  the options were pretty impressive too.  madelyn had a peanut butter and jelly rollup (after asking what kind of jelly was in the rollup) and mason had grilled cheese.  they both had the same sides - bunny crackers, fresh fruit and fruit punch.

as we got up to leave, i noticed some tables set up with coloring and flower planting. 

mason held very still while they poured seeds into his hand for him to 'plant' in the cup. 

we will most definitely do this again! the kids loved it!  and it was a really great meal for $7. love.
