house - week 11, part 2

what a difference two and a half days make!  we were last there on saturday afternoon and there were major changes by our meeting with the builder on tuesday afternoon. the interior designer called in the morning to discuss several things because she was onsite and i could hardly wait to get there and see it all for myself! the builder called monday to let us know that the fireplace was done, the lockers were done and the rest would be done by the end of the day.  he also told me that the kids' bedrooms and bathroom were painted.  oooo!  i wished that we were meeting early in the day...
madelyn loves her light blue room!

the jack-and-jill bathrooms are a grey color.  i am so happy with how it looks with the white trim! on a side, bathroom related, note, every single time mason sees the bathtub he can't get over how dirty it is and won't move on until i assure him that it will be cleaned up before we move in.

mason was pretty excited to see that his (and maddux') room was also painted.  their room is a darker color blue than madelyn's room.

installed master bath tub.  the wood will be painted out white.

our 'lockers' installed and with their first coat of paint.  we were going to have six, but decided to have only four and a bench.

we are so happy with the fireplace.  we changed it like three times.  we could decide about what to do with the hearth (that we hadn't planned on having in the first place) so we had it taken off.  so happy!

basement bathroom (painted by matt).  the color is sort of a seaglass blue-green.  we are using it in the kitchen and master bathroom too.
we have several more meetings at the house on saturday morning and can't wait to see more of the painting completed.  we are also expecting most of the tile work in the master bathroom to be complete (we met with the tile guy today too).  it is getting so exciting to be nearing the end - it is also a relief to be nearing the end of our 'choices'! it was like another part-time job.

the colors with white trim look so nice. The windows in Madelyn's room are fantastic. I can't wait to see it all when its done. I hope there will be lots of pictures. I bet you're so excited to not have to make (m)any more choices.
