matt's grandma (one of two great grandmas still living) has been sending us quite a few packages and letters lately. the one that arrived thursday had baseball caps for the boys. mason was ecstatic! he calls it his "red, lightning, baseball hat". it just so happened that he has been talking this week about how he and daddy were going to play baseball and i could watch him. he was inspired by the fields we passed on our walk last weekend. so the timing was extra perfect. he can't wait to go outside and hit the ball off his tee when it warms up a little (it is freezing and very windy this weekend) and wear his new hat. he has worn it to the grocery store, to school (he wasn't attending, just to drop off madelyn) and around the house.
i think the pictures capture his excitement about his new baseball hat. madelyn is posing with some of the other gifts in the package.
