friend has a new stunt double - sweetie bear. since we don't let the friend leave the house madelyn can choose a different friend to travel if she feels the need. this past week a new teddy bear worked into the rotation and this weekend madelyn introduced it as "sweetie bear". not that the friend has been replaced.
the only time the friend leaves the house is to go to school for nap time. but today madelyn kissed and hugged him good-bye before leaving him on the floor in her bed room. she has done this once or twice before but when i reminded her that by leaving him at home she wouldn't have him for nap time she would pick him up and put him in her backpack. today she insisted that friend should wait at home and she would take sweetie bear.
she was so excited to see friend when she got home and ran right to him calling, "friend, friend!" the whole way.
