father's day

this father's day was not my most planned because i didn't know when baby might come. matt also makes it difficult because he doesn't like to spend money. the kids and i talked about how we would celebrate daddy during the week and we came up with taking him to get bagels and coffee after church, madelyn and mason taking him to the driving range and chipolte for dinner. gifts weren't too exciting - undershirts and an oversized (huge) book about baseball stadiums.

daddy didn't want to spend money on bagels and coffee but a power outage before church made it impossible for him to make his coffee before church. I had a gift card for panera so i was able to convince him to let us take him out (only i took mason to the bathroom while we were ordering and didn't leave the card with matt to pay - oops).

instead of just the older two taking daddy to the driving range, daddy thought we should all go. it was so fun to see everyone excited to be with daddy.

maddux started to get a little too close to everyone towards the end so he joined me on a bench.
we were quite a sight i am sure with my huge belly and the three little ones following daddy to the range. i think matt enjoyed his day. and we all loved celebrating him and how much we love him! love.
