here are pictures from our family's first meetings with manning:
i was watching an american pickers marathon during labor and thought it was funny in the background of matt's picture. i would have posted one without the t.v. but they were so cute looking at each other that i had to go with this one.
matt and i thought that the "fall risk" bracelet was great for me and that maybe i shouldn't take it off - ever.
madelyn and mason meeting manning for the first time. it was difficult to get a picture from the bed.
maddux hasn't seen a baby this young and didn't quite know what to think.
mason was so excited to hold him. it was neat to see how much he already loves his new brother (even though he couldn't remember his name).
there is no shortage of love for manning. we were glad that the kids got to meet him today instead of having to wait until the morning. when maddux was born we joked that he bulked up after hearing his siblings during the pregnancy. well, manning developed his lungs. newborns usually have a soft, kitten-like cry at first; not manning. i describe it as 'screaming like being stabbed with a rusty blade'. he is SO loud!
welcome to the family, manning. we look forward to getting to know you. love.

SO sweet. Feeling the sibling love all the way down here. Manning's head looks only slightly smaller than Mason's in their picture. I like how Maddux is kind of standoff-ish. I'm sure he's eating him up by now. :)
Oh dear! Sorry to hear he has been screeching! Carson was pretty unhappy the first 2 weeks of life (primarily due to the fact he wanted to eat every second) but after that he has been the easiest baby ever! I hope Manning calms down soon!
I love the picture with Maddux peaking around the chair. You can tell Mason is so happy to have his brother arrive. And Madeline trying to console him. So cute.
