this morning we went to lowe's to do the 'build and grow' tow truck project. it was one of the most complicated projects we have done (even the employee warned to follow the instructions very closely - the people next to us had to get a new kit and start over because you can't get the nails out).
the kids instantly thought of their favorite tow truck - matter. madelyn even named hers matter - or so she announced when we got in the car.
this afternoon mason got out the matter puzzle madelyn got him for his birthday and put it together. then he was ready to have madelyn help him put the stickers on his truck. ![]()

they were so cute working on it together. love.

So cute to see them work together. We tried to do that workshop at Lowe's too, but it was full and they lady wasn't very warm and fuzzy when she told us, crushing the girls dreams of building with Daddy... not really that bad, but she could have used a little more tact.
