40 weeks, 1 day

disappointing appointment today. the baby is fine and i am fine so i guess it isn't truly disappointing. i try to appreciate that we never had to worry about premies and realize that there are people who wish full-term was an option. i was/am disappointed because if we were still with our doctor in wisconsin, the baby would most likely already be here or we would be heading to the hospital tonight. the boys were both born the day of my 40 week appointment so i guess there is still hope for tonight. matt is really pulling for tonight because he is ready to take some time away from work. i told him if i could i would! a friend just pointed out tonight that three of our four children will basically have birthdays within the same week or two! i am still only 1cm, maybe 2cm. the doctor i saw today did not strip my membranes. it didn't do much for any of the others except give me a sleepless night of contractions that then stopped so i am not too disappointed to miss out on that. mainly i am impatient because i have a lot to take care of after the baby is born. not to mention that walking without pain would be a welcome change! either way, less than a week. love.

Hang in there! It has to be soon. This coming from a woman who sends her babies an eviction notice at 37 weeks. They have all been born by 38 weeks which means you had an extra 6-7 weeks of pregnancy between the first 3 kiddos. Yuck! Hats off to you! I would be a crazy, crazy woman if I was ever overdue!

We're praying for everything to go smoothly and you to have peace and a very fast delivery(after getting to the hospital). Can't wait to see our ninth grandchild!!!

Wow! You're amazing. You're SOOOOOO close to the end. The finish line is in sight. Just keep in good spirits, enjoy the last moments of 'peace' and he will be here before you know it.
