i knew that the two big kids would want to go to chuck e. cheese for their birthdays and since we couldn't think of anything manning would like better, we decided to use this as his special birthday treat. he had no complaints!

we were just there for games and had brought certificates from their reading program, one for manning's birthday and a coupon for 100 tokens for $20. we were ready for fun!

manning just likes putting the tokens into the games and seeing what happens. he was trying this one where you just hit a button and hit the 50 ticket maximum! total random luck! he couldn't figure out why the tickets kept coming when he would rip them off.

then i brought him over to some that were his size and might be fun. he had a lot of fun with this ball popping one.

but then he just went to the 'rides.' i let him ride each one before getting back over to where he can get some tickets.

the basketballs proved to be just a little too heavy for him to clear the plastic shield. 

manning and i were walking around and i kept hearing, "hi, mom," but i couldn't see any of my kids around. this happened several times. and then i looked up...

finally, it was manning's favorite part - the ticket cruncher! he is very focused and feeds most of the tickets in himself.

it was a pretty fun afternoon and we were thrilled that daddy was able to join us too! love.
