back home and back to manning's birthday - the cake! the cake is the hardest part about "birthday week." you want to give each child a birthday cake, but then it is a question of what to do with all of that cake! we usually just toss it before the next one's birthday. so after seeing how perfect great grandma r.'s birthday cake worked out, we went back to get one for manning.
he was pretty excited watching daddy carry it in from the kitchen while we sang to him.
