while we were eating some peanut butter pretzels for snack, mason said that they were really hard to eat. this seemed odd. and then i noticed the gap in his mouth and the blood. he had just lost his first tooth! and swallowed it! i asked if he had something hard in his mouth. he said, yes, but that he had swallowed it. he was upset at first, but when i told him that it would come out again (in his poop) he broke out a big smile. luckily, we didn't have to worry about tooth fairy disappointment. and he has another one that is barely hanging on right next to it so he will get another try soon. love.
